Welcome to the Travel Photography Workshop!

Most people love to go on holiday. Some of us go many times a year, some go only once in a long, long time. Still, we may spend a lot just to prepare for the trip, including buying a new and expensive camera. What a waste if those precious moments escape, not because you don't have a camera, but because you don't have the know-how. Remember: cameras are made to obey their owners. The Travel Photography Workshop gives you the opportunity to acquire the skills so that your travel shots become treasured shots.

My name is Tim. Some of you may have already known me from my travel websites, AsiaExplorers, EarthDocumentary, WorldGreatestSites and the Tim's Travel Tips Series, Penang, London, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Macau. With thousands of photos on the web, in travel books, calendars and other media, I am often asked for travel photography tips. Articles to help Improve Your Photography

The best way to improve our photography skill is to learn and then apply. No matter how much we read, our photography skill will stay the same unless we try it out, experiment, get to know our camera, and most of all, have fun. Yes indeed, I never detach the fun element from photography. If you take photos for the sake of delivering sharp, perfect shots, for the sake of shooting, but not because it is fun, your photos will appear "manufactured" and soulless. It is like the work of a person who is hired to shoot, not one who shoots with passion. So, as you read through these articles, make sure you don't leave your camera to collect dust!
